Job dutiesThe Systems & Reporting Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining reports and associated systems for Sponsored Projects and Research Compliance (SPARC). The Systems & Reporting Analyst will also facilitate requests from the Rice Research community for ad hoc reports under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Provost for Sponsored Projects and Research Compliance.
QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 2 years or may substitute additional related education above what is required.
Skills Required:

- Proficiency in query design, report creation, business analytics tools, data analysis, and creating graphic representations of data.
- Good understanding of web development (HTML).
- Proficiency in MS Office products such as Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in using various computer systems with the ability to learn new software and provide technical support to end users.
- Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
- Deadline oriented.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work with a team.
Skills Preferred:

- Understanding of rules and regulations as they relate to grants and contracts and research compliance.
- Prior experience working at a university.
- Develop websites.
