Institution descriptionWestmoreland County Community College was founded in 1970 and is located in Youngwood, PA a short distance from the New Stanton Interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike of Route 119. The 80-acre campus comprises four buildings: Founders Hall, Commissioners Hall, Science Hall and the Business and Industry Center. Founders Hall also contains the college bookstore, library, student activities center, gymnasium and more. Approximately 5,517 full and part-time students attend the college. There are 65 associate degree, 20 diploma, and 78 certificate programs with options that prepare students for careers or transfer to baccalaureate degree programs at four-year institutions.
Job dutiesThe Institutional Research Analyst is responsible for gathering data, preparing reports, analyzing data and statistics, and related functions. This individual’s tasks would include, but would not be limited to: analyzing the data needs of the college and constituents, and designing processes and reports to support those needs.
QualificationsThe position requires an associate degree; requires one to three years of related work experience; high level of proficiency with Microsoft Access queries and Excel; strong critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-focused skills; proven ability to work independently, as well as possesses excellent decision-making and judgment skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population, while exercising discretion and good judgment; PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check Clearance and FBI Federal Criminal History Record Clearance at employee’s expense; basic employment verification, national criminal database search, and drug screen at college’s expense; ability to perform the essential responsibilities/functions of this position. To qualify for this position, the applicant’s previous work performance must have met or exceeded appropriate work standards.
