Institute

Institutes have long been an important part of the AIR professional development offerings. These face-to-face events, usually spanning four or more days, were developed as intensive educational events that pair new and early career professionals with highly successful practitioners. There are two kinds of institutes. The National Data Institute is provided through grant funding and participants must apply and be selected to attend. The cost for each AIR Professional Development Institute is paid by participants or their home institution and is offered on a first-come basis with limited maximum enrollment.
