Each year, AIR recognizes and celebrates members who have made an extraordinary contribution to the success of the Association and the profession through their leadership, service, and scholarship.

• Outstanding Service Award  – This award recognizes a member for professional leadership and exemplary service to AIR and for having actively supported and facilitated the goals and mission of the Association. 
• Sidney Suslow Award – Named in honor of legendary IR author Sidney Suslow for his impact on AIR publications and scholarship, this award recognizes an individual’s scholarly contribution to the field of institutional research.
• John E. Stecklein Distinguished Membership Award  – Named in honor of AIR founding father John E. Stecklein, this award recognizes a member for significant and substantial contributions to the field of institutional research.
