Member Benefits (2011-2012)

All three AIR membership levels (Individual, Organizational, and Graduate Student) provide access to a wide variety of unique and specialized AIR products, services, and events. These member-only benefits represent the most tangible advantages to AIR membership.

Professional Development and Education
  • Annual Conference: The AIR Forum is the world’s largest gathering of higher-education professionals working in institutional research, assessment, planning, and related postsecondary education fields. The 2012 Forum will be June 2-6 in New Orleans.  As an added benefit, AIR members can download presentations and papers from past conferences.
  • Pre-Forum Workshops are half- and full-day intensive sessions presented in conjunction with the annual AIR Forum.

  • Institutes are professional-development workshops for institutional research and assessment professionals. These five-day meetings combine lectures, demonstrations, exercises, and group discussions in a focused face-to-face setting.
  • Webinars are live online sessions that focus on IR trends, techniques, and/or tools. Webinars also are available on-demand for 30 days after the live presentation. AIR members receive discounted and priority registration.
*Only members may attend AIR Institutes, Forum, and Pre-Forum Workshops.

  • Be nominated for positions on the Board of Directors*
  • Vote in the Board of Directors election*
  • Join special-interest groups to connect with other members who share similar interests
  • Access the membership directory for networking with other members
*Graduate Student members are not eligible to vote or hold office.
