The Data and Decisions Academy™ is a series of online, self-paced courses designed for community college institutional research (IR) professionals. Initial funding for the Data and Decisions Academy™ was made possible by a $1.92 million grant from Lumina Foundation for Education.
The Association for Institutional Research has been awarded a grant of $675,000 from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to undertake three key projects to build IR capacity in the United States: a National Survey of Institutional Research, a Statement of Aspirational Practice for Institutional Research, and Exploration of Shared Services for Institutional Research.
With support from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) operates the NCES Data Institute: Using IPEDS, Sample Surveys, and Federal Datasets to Support Research on Postsecondary Education. The Institute is an intensive introduction to NCES datasets and research methodologies using large-scale national data sources.
With supprt from the Access Group Center for Research & Policy AnalysisSM, the Association for Institutional Research (AIR) operates a grant program that supports research on a wide range of issues of critical importance to U.S. higher education. The program is a grant competition promoting scholarship on issues related to access, affordability and value of legal education specifically, and graduate and professional education more broadly.
AIR partnered with the National Association of System Heads (NASH) to conduct research funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to examine public system/campus roles in institutional research.
