This site is designed to help users develop their IPEDS data at an institution level, through survey-specific tutorials. These tutorials will help the users identify sources at these institutions where the data can be found, as well as give them guidance in the best practices of reporting and reviewing their data.

Through the use of the menu bar above, users can drill down through the areas of each of the three IPEDS data collection periods (Fall, Winter, and Spring). Within each IPEDS component, there are reference links to forms, instructions, FAQs, and import and edit specifications. This will provide the user one area to find all related material for each survey component.

Another important feature to this tutorial is the SEARCH function. This search option allows the user to look for specific data collection concepts, either across the entire tutorial, or more specifically within each component. Users can access the SEARCH function by clicking on the SEARCH option in the left-hand navigation bar on any page.

In addition to this tutorial, links are also provided here for the IPEDS Data Collection System, where you can also find a general survey tutorial, which will help you with the more technical aspects of the data collection system.
