2024–25 Annual Report Highlights a Year of Growth, Adaptation, and Leadership

The past year has brought significant change across higher education—shifting policies, evolving priorities, and the conclusion of AIR’s federal subcontract for IPEDS training after more than two decades. Throughout this period of transition, one constant has remained: the strength of the AIR community.

AIR’s 2024–25 Annual Report highlights how the association and its network of more than 7,000 professionals have grown, adapted, and led through disruption.

• Membership Growth: AIR’s community has nearly tripled, bringing fresh perspectives and fostering stronger collaboration across the field.
• Direct IPEDS Training: AIR now delivers IPEDS training through the Data & Decisions® Academy, continuing a trusted resource for institutional researchers.
• Consulting Impact: AIR Data & Decisions® Consulting is helping institutions strengthen their use of data—building capacity, aligning talent, and supporting more informed decision-making.
• National Voice: Through strategic partnerships and policy engagement, the association’s collective voice is reaching farther than ever.
