Scholarly and Research Presenters Responsibilities
Goals
The Forum Committee seeks your support in achieving the following goals for Scholarly and Research Paper sessions:
1. Consistent high quality Scholarly papers and Research presentations
2. Stimulating discussions
3. Quantity and variety of publishable manuscripts
Session Format
1. Each presenter is to bring 50 copies of their paper(s), provide the paper(s) on a CD or provide a URL where their scholarly paper or your research paper is available. Those who select a particular scholarly paper or research presentation to attend do so because they have a special interest in this topic. It is a tribute to the presenters that attendees choose one session over a host of others. In return for this tribute, session attendees expect to receive a final product from the author(s) to refer to in the future. A full scholarly paper is the expected product for scholarly paper presentations. A set of handouts, including the slides used in the presentation, is the expected product for a research presentation.
2. Electronic copies of your paper(s) will be posted on the AIR Web page after the Forum. By July 10, 2009, please forward an electronic copy of your paper/presentation as an E-mail attachment in Word or WordPefect with the subject line 2009 Forum Paper/Presentation for Web to: Missy Wiggins.
Session Format Length
Scholarly and Research Paper Sessions are 40 minutes in length. This includes 10 minutes for the authors to respond to questions from the audience.
