Poster Presenter's Responsibilities

Posters are the visual presentations of research or a project using exhibits and/or handouts to communicate the purpose and outcomes of the project. A Poster session allows for open-ended questions and discussion as attendees explore the topic with the presenter(s). These sessions allow attendees to move freely between Posters and offer opportunities to convey ideas without the requirements of a written paper.

AIR Poster presenters are required to be at their display to answer questions on Sunday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. and Monday from 5:00-6:00 p.m.

Presenters will have a 4x6-foot corkboard, push pins and a table to display their presentation in the Poster area. All Poster presentations are scheduled in the Exhibit Hall. Audio/visual equipment is NOT available for AIR Posters. Displays may be set-up between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 31. All displays must be taken down on Tuesday, June 2 between noon and 1:00 p.m. AIR is not responsible for displays left after 1:00 p.m.

Your display should be self-supporting and self-explanatory. In addition, AIR Poster presenters are required to be at their display to answer questions on Sunday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. and Monday from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Poster presenters must bring 100 copies of their handout, which must include contact information, and ample business cards so anyone interested may easily contact you.

Poster presenters are encouraged to visit AIR’s Poster Sessions and Tips for additional information and to see examples of past AIR Forum posters.

The three highest rated posters presented at the 2009 Forum, as juried by the Posters Committee, will be recognized at the Wednesday Awards Luncheon.
