#29 Update 1 Title: NCES Technical Review Panel Announces Plans to Expand Report Templates in IPEDS Peer Analysis System Prepared: July 2005 Type: Informational Note: This topic only pertains to institutions that have NCAA Division I sports. Summary The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) has announced plans to expand the report templates in the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) Peer Analysis System (PAS) beginning in the fall 2005 (http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/trp11.asp). The PAS report templates function allows users to generate packaged reports for their institution and their peers. The six templates currently available can be found at http://nces.ed.gov/ipedspas under "Reports and Stats." Current Status The six current templates provide reports on 1) directory information, 2) price trends, 3) completions by race/ethnicity, 4) enrollment by race/ethnicity, 5) enrollment by student level, and 6) total fall enrollment. Implications for Institutions Expanding the PAS Report Templates function can provide users with additional packaged reports that can be quickly and easily generated.
