The Association for Institutional Research (AIR) publishes a wide variety of professional publications aimed at meeting the information needs of the institutional research and higher education communities. Some of these publications are available exclusively in paper form, others are available in electronic format only, and some are published in both mediums. Likewise, some of the publications are free to AIR members, while others may be obtained at a member discount.

| Call for Authors - The Handbook for Institutional Research - The AIR Publications Committee, in association with Jossey-Bass Publishing, is planning to publish The Handbook for Institutional Research in 2011. AIR is currently looking for experts from across the profession, and we invite you to consider authoring or co-authoring a chapter. Resources in Institutional Research - A practitioner-oriented book series that provides tools and techniques to help institutional researchers perform their jobs more effectively. Electronic AIR - The single oldest, still-publishing email newsletter on the Internet, having been regularly published since October of 1987. E-AIR is sent to subscribers and AIR members via an e-mail list service. | Journals and Research Monographs - AIR provides several journals and research monographs at a discounted price for members. This is an inclusive list of the publications with ordering information. Occasional Publications - Papers about Institutional Research and Research Studies on Higher Education. Assessment In The Disciplines - This series provides assistance to both faculty who have taken on responsibility for assessing their academic programs, as well as institutional researchers who are often asked to support student learning assessment. AIR Member Mailings - AIR member mailings are a comprehensive, informative resource mailed periodically to AIR members. This communicative initiative keeps AIR members abreast of the latest developments in the IR field. |
