Institution: Blinn College is the oldest county-operated community college in Texas and has the state's highest percentage of students who transfer to and graduate from leading four-year universities. Blinn offers college academic transfer classes, workforce programs, and continuing education from its four campuses located in Brenham, Bryan, Sealy and Schulenburg.

Job Duties: To (1) direct and manage the Blinn College Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), including but not limited to SACS reporting and interpreting multiple data sets regarding the QEP; (2) provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff that support the objectives of the QEP; (3) provide leadership in the development and maintenance of an effective assessment culture that supports quality enhancement at all levels of the institution.

Essential Duties
• In collaboration with Academic Affairs, directs implementation of a comprehensive system of training for faculty in enhancing their teaching skills and instructional methodologies to implement student success initiatives related to student learning outcomes and the QEP.

• Directs the planning and coordination of workshops and seminars designed to establish and maintain a college-wide culture of assessment where results are used in an established cycle for quality improvement.

• Serves as administrator of college-wide assessment management software and maintains electronic assessment documentation for accreditation purposes.

• Maintains the Quality Enhancement Plan website which includes best practices, key resources, professional development opportunities and current literature.

• Provides quality improvement recommendations to administration based upon analysis of assessment data.

• Formulates strategies, allocates resources, and sets quality standards for identified college activities, including initiation and completion of program review and core curriculum assessment.

• Writes all QEP reports required by SACS.

• Analyzes federal, regional, state, and institutional data related to the QEP.

• Maintains the data organization system for the QEP and SACS compliance issues.

• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
• Master's degree from an accrediated Univeristy.

• Experience in higher education assessment practices.

• Three years teaching experience at the community college level.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Effective in building relationships with faculty and administration.

• Adept at composing memoranda and reports from multiple data sources.

• Experience maintaining records, databases, and files in an efficient, organized manner.

• Positive and enthusiastic attitude about creating change at the institution.

• Ability to multitask.

Preferred:
• Doctorate from an accrediated University.

• Experience with databases, web site authoring software, and standard office software.

• Experience with assessment management software.

Salary/Benefits: Salary starting at $56,410.
