Job Duties: Reporting to the Dean for Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Initiatives, the primary duties of the Director include, but are not limited to:
Supervise the work of the coordinator of assessment, the coordinator of academic information and staff involved in institutional research, assessment of student learning, and academic program review.
Be responsible for identifying, collecting, maintaining and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, updating systems, providing research and analytical support for institutional planning, programmatic planning, and policy decisions.
Work with project directors and grant staff, assist in grant activities and supervise grant evaluations including both summative and formative evaluations.
Coordinate and produce various reports for CUNY Central Office, e.g. workload reports, staff and teaching reports, surveys, etc.
Serve as the college’s information officer for data and research request for outside agencies.
Other duties as assigned by the Dean. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with at least eight (8) years related experience required; Master’s degree or doctorate preferred. Expertise in methodologies of evaluation, assessment, survey research, statistics, and data analysis; strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; experience with SPSS statistical software, MS Office applications, and ability to work with complex computer information systems required. Familiarity with higher education issues, HTML, and Oracle Discoverer is desired.
