Job Duties: The Academic Program Accreditation and Assessment Specialist coordinates the tracking of outcomes assessment progress and the assessment efforts of academic programs with discipline-specific accreditation, identifying and providing remedies for academic programs in danger of non-compliance. The Specialist, working with the Director of Outcomes Assessment and Accreditation Services, facilitates the work of academic programs exploring the possibility of discipline-specific accreditation. This position directly supports Learning and Academic Excellence, two university-wide Strategic Directions. Qualifications: One year of experience in statistical analysis and a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 12 semester hours of course work in statistical theory or in courses placing major emphasis on the application of statistical methods to specific subject matter fields. Appropriate graduate study in statistical theory or methods, mathematics or a related field may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in educational psychology, social sciences, or a related field, with demonstrated relevant experience and training in survey research and quantitative analysis. Three years of professional experience such as assessment responsibilities for a large scale grant program; curriculum design or political science related market research; experience in the collection, compilation, editing and logical interpretation of quantified data; exceptional oral and written communication skills; strong computer skills including commonly used statistical software, such as SPSS/SAS; experience in higher education and the ability to work with diverse groups. Salary/Benefits: $41.017.00 annually, plus excellent benefits.
