Job Duties: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Provides direction to departments and programs undertaking self-studies, writing SPA reports, and preparing for major accreditation visits • Maintains School of Education NCATE files and oversees the preparation of annual updates and progress reports required by NCATE between continuing accreditation visits (seven year cycle) • Provides leadership for the implementation of a unit-wide assessment system that: interfaces with the campus’ BANNER infrastructure; provides for assessment of candidate proficiencies & unit operations; reflects the unit’s conceptual framework; and facilitates program & unit evaluation • Works closely with the SOE’s Associate Dean who is the unit’s liaison to the NYSED, and our Instructional Technology Support person who is a major contributor to the unit’s data management process • Provides assistance to faculty and students on the use of an assessment system and an electronic data management system • Works with the campus’ Director of Institutional Research to develop mandated institutional, state and national reports • Collaborates with faculty committees and department chairs to determine the most appropriate assessment strategies to support the improvement of candidate performance • Active member of the School’s Administrative Advisory Council • Ex Officio to the SOE’s Faculty Council Qualifications: • Earned doctorate preferred in education, educational psychology or related field; Masters degree required • Experience with assessment systems as they pertain to accreditation; knowledge of current online data management systems (e.g., TK20, iWebfolio) and data analysis strategies using software such as SPSS, SAS and Excel Pivot Tables • Familiarity with academic disciplines across the College, including outcomes assessment in academic majors as well as general education programs • Minimum of three years of higher education experience, especially with regard to campus accreditation visits, program review and campus governance processes • Excellent organizational, communication (verbal/written) & technology skills, with collegial interpersonal competencies • Demonstrated evidence of collaboration with colleagues and superiors, in a diverse environment that promotes social justice Salary/Benefits: To Apply: Send a letter of application, curriculum vita, three letters of recommendation from current professional references, and a copy of college transcripts electronically to our Employment Web site.
