The University Registrar and Executive Director of Institutional Research manages 2 full-time staff, reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, sits on the Academic Policy Committee and participates with University administrators and faculty in providing academic leadership.

Job Duties: This position provides leadership and direction in all matters associated with in-person and online registration for undergraduate and graduate programs, records storage; FERPA coordination, coordination of class schedules and classroom assignments, preparation and editing of the academic catalog, preparation and distribution of enrollment statistics, support of internal university research as well as internal and external reporting of student enrollment and academic data. Qualifications: The successful candidate will bring to Hollins: • demonstrated expertise utilizing an integrated student information system with a strong commitment to service in a university community; • ability to manipulate data files to support curricular planning and management, institutional improvement, and the development and implementation of strategic initiatives (experience with Banner is preferred); • excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; • demonstrated ability to work with diverse student, faculty and staff constituencies; • ability to balance multiple responsibilities, set priorities and meet deadlines; • sound professional judgment, flexibility, willingness to learn and implement new technologies, and the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity; • bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
