Job Duties: The Assistant Director provides expertise for research and assessment projects and coordinates, implements and evaluates a comprehensive program of institutional research, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
- Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses on internal and external data - Summarizes results of analyses for varied audiences utilizing a mixture of text, professional quality graphs and tables - Responds to internal and external data requests and provides accurate and timely reports to various federal and state agencies, and other external organizations - Provides technical, research and statistical analysis support for research and assessment projects - Collaborates with information technology staff and external vendors to provide technical hardware/software support for research and assessment projects - Assists College departments in self-assessment activities (including survey design and data analysis) Qualifications: Education/Experience: - Experience in Higher Education preferred - Master's degree and two years of experience with social science research which included data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and reporting preferred - Bachelor's degree with three years of experience with social science research which included data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and reporting required. - Demonstrable qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis skills - Ability to communicate results effectively with strong oral and written communication skills - Expertise with spreadsheet, database, word processing and presentation software (Microsoft Office preferred), and statistical software such as SPSS or SAS - Ability to manage large datasets; Experience with the SunGard Banner system a plus - Must be detail oriented, highly organized, proactive, a self-starter and able to assimilate information quickly Salary/Benefits: Health, vision, dental, retirement, life insurance, vacation, educational tuition benefits included.
