Job Title: DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH - Harper College, Chicago, IL

Institution: Harper College is a two-year public community college founded in 1965. The Harper district encompasses 23 communities in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and has an area of about 200 square miles and a population of 555,100 citizens. Harper’s district is generally considered an upper-middle-class area and contains approximately 30,000 businesses. Harper is situated in the nation’s eleventh largest job market. Job Duties: To provide leadership for the College's institutional research initiatives that support continuous improvement from institutional effectiveness to student learning. To be a champion for data-based decision making, facilitate the use of data in planning and assessment and to ensure compliance with state and federal reporting obligations and accreditation requirements. The ability to engage the College in the pursuit of continuous program improvement and present information in a meaningful modality to the user is critical. Qualifications: Master's Degree required in Social Science, Educational Psychology, Statistics, Educational Research, or related field. Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred. Three to five years progressive leadership experience working in complex research environments handling large quantities of data, diverse research needs and quality control systems. Demonstrated experience with communication strategies that share data in ways that they can be understood and utilized. Prior experience with national movements in community college industry to lead data-based decision making efforts to improve student success preferred i.e. Achieving The Dream. Expertise in using statistical software (SPSS or SAS), and Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Banner experience a plus.
