Job Duties: This is a mid-level position reporting directly to the Director of Undergraduate Assessment, Retention, and Research. The position also reports indirectly to the Director of Institutional Research and Planning in the Office of Academic Planning and Accountability. This position is an integral part of the project team responsible for the collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and disseminating data and information about university assessment and institutional effectiveness needs. The incumbent will evaluate and set up processes for assessment tracking tools. The individual will work collaboratively with the Director of Institutional Research and Planning to support institutional assessment and effectiveness processes by university administrators, academic units and other external groups. The incumbent will be responsible for the creation and analysis of all reporting relative to university and academic unit retention, assessment, and accreditation. The individual will provide analytical support to the Assistant University Provost for Accreditation, Academic Planning and Engagement. This individual will interface with the university’s administration and functional analysts within the academic and administrative units to understand their assessment data/reporting needs. Additionally, this individual will be required to become proficient in the use of iStrategy, the university’s data warehouse tool. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Education, Computer Science, Social Sciences and three+ years of related experience. This position requires the incumbent to have strong analytic ability and proficient writing skills. Advanced knowledge of computers and software, including Windows based statistical software, spreadsheets, relational data bases, word processing and presentation/graphics software is also expected. The staff member is expected to perform as a member of a professional team and as such is expected to demonstrate constructive, independent, creative thinking and to exercise good professional judgment and interpersonal skills.
