Job Duties: Under administrative direction is responsible for oversight of University assessment, planning, institutional research, and accreditation efforts; serves as the primary Provost’s Office link to Information Technology division.

CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include any and/or all of the following:

1. Oversight of the University’s Academic Assessment and Planning processes, including: implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive assessment plan, collaboration with University stakeholders to review and enhance academic and related administrative programs and services, and analysis, articulation, and application of results of the assessment and planning processes, with a focus on continuous improvement
2. accreditation initiatives (principally HLC), preparation and development of self-studies, service as liaison to accrediting organizations
3. Alignment of institution-wide assessment and accreditation initiatives with
4. College/School-level initiatives to ensure integration and avoid duplication.
5. Assessment and improvement of administrative processes supporting academic programming and services.
6. Recommend, prioritize, and, as appropriate, implement process-specific and integrated enterprise technology solutions in these areas; performs other duties as assigned by the Provost.

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

* Knowledge of assessment, planning, and institutional research in higher education
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills
* Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Ability to supervise staff
* Knowledge of assessment, statistical analysis, and enterprise (preferably Banner) software

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree with a Ph.D. preferred; supplemented with five (5) years of experience in higher education leadership and administration with an emphasis on assessment and institutional research with higher education teaching experience preferred.

* Oversight of the Office of Institutional Research, including development of research activities supporting University assessment, planning, and decision-making, particularly in the areas of student outcomes, enrollment management, and program review.
* Oversight of all external surveys (e.g., U.S. News, Peterson’s, IPEDS, HLC, etc.)
* Oversight and preparation of internal reports and documents (e.g., quarterly and annual reports from Academic Affairs, accreditation-related reports, etc.)
* Oversight of data management and related information technology policies, procedures, and capabilities.
* Supervision of 3 full-time professional staff.
