Job Duties: The Institutional Research Associate supports the University-wide efforts to create and maintain a data driven environment. This position will report to the Director of Institutional Research.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinates the collection, analysis, and interpretation of selected institutional data. Enhances internal and external reporting and analytical capabilities through improved data management.
• Responds to requests for data used for informed institutional planning, evaluation, operations and decision making.
• Assists in the creation of an annual Fact Book that includes current and historical University statistics for reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate and respond to external data requests from governmental agencies and other associations, including IPEDS, state surveys, national surveys, accreditation and licensure requests, and other miscellaneous requests for information.
• Provides responses to internal data requests made by various University departments, including current college statistics and metrics for measuring operational efficiency and success.
• Provides analytical support and advice in areas of survey research, design, and analysis to support institutional assessment initiatives.
• Coordinates the administration and analysis of surveys used to identify and improve institutional effectiveness.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline is required, Master’s is preferred.
• Expertise and experience in institutional research and statistical analysis.
• Demonstrated spreadsheet, database and statistical software skills, as well as word processing and internet research skills.
• Ability to work independently and possess the interpersonal skills necessary to work with teams of various university constituents.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
