Job Duties: Reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategic Planning & Analysis, you’ll drive the development and implementation of Kaplan University’s Student Academic Assessment Plan as well as educate the university community about the role and function of student assessment. Your role will involve representing Kaplan both nationally and internationally through presentations and publications as a leader in the measurement of student learning. Managing two direct reports, an Associate Director of Assessment and an Associate Director of Testing, you’ll accomplish the following:
• Manage the design of systems for collection and analysis of student learning • Serve as a representative during all accreditation visits • Co-Chair the assessment committee • Oversee the implementation of various student and faculty core surveys • Assist in designing accreditation/certification related assessment plans • Manage unit finances and achieve budgetary goals Qualifications: • PhD or Ed.D in appropriate field i.e. educational/social research or higher education with a strong background in research, analytics and measurement
• 5-7 years of related experience in educational research design, measurement and online pedagogy with 5 years in teaching or educational research
• Extensive management background in education or a service industry, including P&L ownership and adherence to budgets and performance metrics
• Knowledge of statistical analyses (Rasch, regression models), survey tools and web-based data collection
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, eCollege, SAS or SPSS, database management
• Strong service-orientation skills
