Job Title: RESEARCH ANALYST, INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH - Hamline Univeristy, St. Paul, MN

Job Duties: As a member of the Institutional Research Team the Research Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, compiling, analyzing and disseminating data about the university and its academic environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Oversee and prioritize the collection, analysis and dissemination of all Institutional Research requests and activities.
- Gather and report data for internal and external surveys
- Provide data analysis, using standardized application of research and statistical methods.
- Prepare and present analytical information for use through written report and oral presentation.
- Work with Senior Leadership to evaluate the strategic data collection sets and analytical needs to support the university strategic initiatives.
- Complete ad-hoc research, data collection, analysis and presentations and other reporting as requested by senior administrators, deans, faculty and staff.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED
- Master’s Degree. Degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics. Statistics or Business a plus.
- At least two years of similar work experience
- Familiar with SPSS or other statistical software.
- Exemplary attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Able to balance competing priorities and simultaneous multiple projects.

PREFERRED
- Previous experience with IPEDS, US News and other college surveys.
- Working knowledge of Banner database system and Crystal Reporting software, or similar query tools, data management and report writing software.
