Job Title: DIRECTOR OF INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH - Kansas City Kansas Community College, Kansas City, KS

Job Duties: The Director of Institutional Research will report directly to Dean of Institutional Services and will be responsible for:

1. Designing, developing, and carrying out basic and applied research, with an emphasis on the factors that impact student and community population, including socio-economic variables, population trends and occupational demands, to support KCKCC’s mission and strategic objectives.
2. Managing the human and financial resources of the Center for Research and Community Development(CRCD) consistent with the missions, goals and objectives of the CRCD, the division of Institutional Services, and KCKCC
3. Representing CRCD in various on-campus venues and serving on appropriate internal and external committees as needed.
4. Managing state and federal data reporting processes.
5. Directing collection of data and information from internal and external sources and maintenance of databases.
6. Coordinating regular and ad-hoc surveys as needed.
7. Providing timely data and information to administration in support of informed decision-making.
8. Presenting findings of analytical studies to campus and communities in both written and oral presentations.
9. Assisting Dean of Institutional Services in development of KCKCC’s Strategic Plan and its implementation and evaluation.
10. Performing other duties as assigned by the Dean of Institutional Services.

Qualifications:
1. Graduation with a Master’s degree from an accredited institution with concentration in social sciences or related fields required; Ph.D. preferred.
2. A minimum of three years of experience in institutional research and planning in higher education institutions is required.
3. Excellent skills in survey research methodology, research design, quantitative methodology, statistical techniques, and data analysis are required.
4. Proficiencies in statistical analysis software, reporting software and database systems are required.
5. Strong analytic, written, and oral communication and attention to detail, the ability to work productively and effectively with colleagues and senior staff are required.
6. Knowledge in student information and administration systems is preferred.

Salary/Benefits: Minimum of $59,103 per year plus fringe benefits dependent on education and experience
