Job Duties: Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, the Research Coordinator supports informed administrative decision-making through data collection and analysis. Designs and maintains databases, studies, analyses, reports, and models in support of institutional decision making, the strategic planning process, program review, and accreditation Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three to five years experience in higher education or in similar settings utilizing databases and generating reports; Master’s degree highly desirable. • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data, survey research, and large datasets, and an in-depth working knowledge of Datatel, Xcel and MS office systems required. • Proficiency in Survey Monkey creation, administration and analysis. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Ability to work independently, as well as on teams, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and see task to completion. • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to apply tact and good judgment in dealing with all levels of college administrators, faculty and staff • Discretion in handling confidential information is necessary. • Ability to work collaboratively and productively with College’s Computer and Technology Services unit and other campus units to obtain timely, accurate, and reliable data. • Ability to maximize use of web based institutional research and communication tools. • Knowledge and use of databases, data collection, reporting and analysis tools, data warehouses, and web based data presentation. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Working knowledge of IPEDS reporting process, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation process, and external data collection organizations (Common Data Set, Peterson’s, etc.) Salary/Benefits: Salary is competitive and subject to the availability of funding sources.
