Job Title: INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCHER AND REPORT SPECIALIST - Northwestern College, St. Paul, MN

Job Duties: Derive, compile, and maintain statistical data for College and Media. Ensure accuracy of data and make available to College community and outside sources by creating reports that derive and produce operational information and statistical data.Complete comprehensive surveys for college guidebooks (Peterson’s, College Board, U.S. News and World Report, etc.) and other higher educational organizations. Provide institutional information for web sites of the College and affiliated organizations. Coordinate completion of faculty compensation surveys (AAUP, CUPA-HR, etc.)Serve as IPEDS Coordinator. Responsible to complete Institutional Characteristics, Completions, Fall Enrollment, Graduation Rate Survey, and Student Financial Aid surveys. Supervise completion of Finance and Human Resources surveys. Supply data for accreditation self-studies. Work closely with the Systems Optimization Team, Campus Technology staff, and subject matter experts in various campus departments to best understand technical requirements and objectives that will maximize the effective and efficient development of reports. Develop a thorough understanding of the ERP system, including data structures, established menus and reports, and specialized data extraction and reporting tools.Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Create standard data blocks and reports for ongoing customer needs. Extract data and develop reports to meet the needs of the Office of the Provost and other College officials (guide book reports, IPEDS, government agencies, college associations, accreditation agencies, faculty salary surveys, etc). Develop student information reports on a regular basis for use by College officials and Board of Trustees (enrollment statistics, enrollment and degree completion history by department and major, etc). Conduct analytical studies for management and planning purposes; e.g. academic costs, enrollment projections, student retention rates, faculty loads, grading practices, financial aid issues, and space utilization.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree preferred. Previous directly related work experience a minimum of 3 years required.
