Institution: Hope College is a Christian coeducational, residential liberal arts undergraduate college affiliated with the Reformed Church in America; has over 3,000 students (3,140 FTE) and 250 FTE faculty; is a member of the Great Lakes Colleges Association; is accredited by NCA, NCATE, ACS, NASAD, NASD, NASM, NAST, CSWE, EAC of ABET, CCNE and CAATE; and is located in a city of 35,000 enriched by a significant Latino population and growing Asian and African American populations in a rapidly growing urban area of 100,000 near Lake Michigan, within short driving distance of Grand Rapids (over 500,000), and relatively close to Ann Arbor and Chicago. Job Duties: Hope College is seeking a Director for its Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research. Founded in 1990, the Carl Frost Center for Social Science Research conducts research with a wide variety of clients, including corporate, nonprofit, educational, governmental and religious organizations. The Carl Frost Center also promotes undergraduate faculty-student research collaboration, particularly in the social sciences. U.S. News and World Report ranked Hope College 4th in the nation for undergraduate research in 2003. Qualifications: We seek a director who will provide research expertise to external and internal clients, expand our client base, and increase our visibility in the community. Applicants must have significant experience and expertise in a broad range of applied survey research methods, evaluation design and implementation, knowledge of computer-based statistical software, and effective leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Candidates with a Ph.D. in survey research, program evaluation, or a Ph.D. in a social science discipline or in public health or public administration are strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be able to articulate a personal commitment to the mission and goals of Hope College.

Salary/Benefits: This is a year-round, full-time administrative position. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.
