Job Duties: Performs professional and scientific operations research analyst work requiring the design, development, and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, econometric, and other scientific methods and techniques and provides advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative courses of action in an admissions/enrollment management environoment. Applies a variety of analytical techniques to formulate and solve problems. Determines source of data, plans, and conducts tests to validate study findings and conclusions. Uses scientific inquiry in the development of mathematical models and computer programs to evaluate and predict the ability to support assigned projects, studies, or problems. Identifies significant variables and thoroughly examines underlying relationships. May serve as an authority and consultant to other organizations, commands, and/or agencies.
