Job Duties: Essential Job Functions: • Generate the College’s annual Fact Book and prepare the Fast Facts each semester. • Prepare a Common Data Set for CTC and develop and update a CTC Data Dictionary. • Respond to data requests by internal CTC units/departments and requests from external agencies such as Peterson’s. • Attend and represent CTC at professional meetings to include institutional committees such as URRS. • Work with departments across the college to develop surveys and assessment instruments. • Prepare, administer and analyze surveys to collect information, to include student course evaluations and prepare reports to meet SACS Standards. • Performs other Planning and Research duties related to assessment and evaluation as assigned by the Director, Institutional Effectiveness. Qualifications: Minimum Required Education: • Bachelor’s degree (Masters degree preferred)
Minimum Required Experience: • Three years professional experience in data analysis and research, preferably in a higher education institution
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook. • Working knowledge with the use of SPSS and/or SAS. • Ability to collect and verify accuracy of data from various sources. • Ability to independently conduct research and data analysis with minimum assistance or supervision. • Ability to be detail orientated in preparing timely, user friendly tables and reports with a high degree of accuracy. • Knowledge of practices, theories and concepts relating to developing and assessing surveys. • Knowledge of administration of higher education institution and accreditation requirement and guidelines at national and state levels. • Ability to communicate effectively in presenting data/information to all levels within the institution as well as to other public audiences. • Awareness of current trends in national and state higher education field.
