As the AIR Interim Executive Director and CFO, Jason has a vision for the future of AIR and the IR community. His strong leadership and people skills enable him to make innovative and sound decisions for the Association and its members. His CFO duties include oversight for the organization's financial and accounting operations, as well as all banking, investment, insurance, audit, and tax compliance matters related to the Association.
With a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology (an emphasis in Quantitative Methods in Education) and an extensive background in higher education and IR, Gina is in a unique position to provide AIR with expert strategic direction related to IR and the field's changing needs. Through engagement with those who impact decision making in higher education, her work guides the development of strategic initiatives to build capacity for IR.
With 20 years of experience and a passion for solving problems, Robinson provides unparalleled strategic direction related to all aspects of technology within the Association. This includes responsibility for the infrastructure, applications, implementation, and growth through technology, empowering staff to excel.
Darlena, who says anything can be explained with physics, directs AIR's research initiatives to better understand the current state of institutional research. She also leads assessment and evaluation support for Forum, eAIR (AIR's monthly electronic newsletter), membership, and grant-funded services such as IPEDS and the NCES Data Institute. In addition, she guides the development of AIR’s new online curriculum offerings.
With a 30-year career in radio, TV, newspaper, and public relations, H.A. has developed a passion for non-profit marketing and promotion. Along with her mad writing skills, her experience in higher education and association management, and expertise in event planning, enable her to not only lead the strategic direction for the Association's marketing and communication efforts, but to also host the ultimate AIR event, the Forum, which draws over 2,000 attendees each year.
Tinsley, a world traveler and indoor cycling enthusiast, provides support to the Executive Director, CFO, and other Association leadership for the IPEDS Contract and Access Grant Program. She manages the development, maintenance, and delivery of the educational content for the IPEDS contract across three delivery methods: online tutorials, online courses, and face-to-face workshops. Tinsley serves as the primary contact for the Access Group/AIR Research and Dissertation Fellows Program.
Meg, who enjoys traveling and being a "Glama," serves as the main contact for IPEDS workshop co-hosting organizations through planning and implementation processes. She solicits bids for workshop venue meeting space and AV/technology requirements and serves as the logistical contact for all workshops. Meg also assists the Director of Contracts and Grants with planning and implementation of the Institute for IPEDS Educators and NCES Data Institute.
Ryan is an experienced membership campaign coordinator, and serves as administrator of the member database. He also coordinates scholarship offerings and is Registrar for the Data and Decisions® Academy, which provides self-paced, online professional development for institutional researchers. Ryan is passionate about members and their success. He is also interested in social media and exploring other avenues of engagement to foster interaction among AIR members and the data practitioner community.
Elaine's vast membership experience enables her to expertly manage programs and services directly related to AIR membership and member benefits, including volunteer management and member awards. She has a knack for seeing the big picture when it comes to the member experience, and works closely with the education, communications, and IT teams to maintain key AIR programs and services for the IR community. Elaine also oversees the administration of AIR’s Data and Decisions® Academy.
Stephan assists in the evaluation and administration of AIR’s online IPEDS Training Program. Additionally, he serves as a course registrar for students and mentors involved in AIR’s web-based education opportunities. Stephan's research interest is in the connection between learning English and future goals of college aged international students who come to the US to learn English.
Guillermo supports the development of the new NCES Data Institute (NDI) online course, collaborating closely with staff and content creators. He also assists with reporting the assessment portion of all face-to-face and online IPEDS courses offered by AIR. Guillermo's research interests include teachers' beliefs, mathematical thinking and instruction, and K-12 education standards.
Michelle supports IPEDS face-to-face meeting activities including communication, research, and meeting coordination. She also serves as a point of contact for IPEDS Workshop related requests and confirmations. Michelle is instrumental in coordinating with the IPEDS Team to collect information for creating and updating reports.
With a background in non-profit meetings and marketing, Kyndra plans and executes small and large meetings for the Association, including board meetings, seminars, and ad hoc meetings. In her spare time, Kyndra assists with carrying out the world's largest gathering of IR professionals, the AIR Forum. In this capacity, Kyndra handles sponsor coordination, venue selection, logistics, room block management, and creatve theming. Kyndra enjoys helping members and sponsors get the most from their meeting and event experiences.
Conor assists with coordinating and prioritizing assigned activities and tasks associated with all stages of the lifecycle for IPEDS online content. He also assists IPEDS Team members in the development of new educational content based on input and feedback from NCES, IPEDS Educators, and the IPEDS community at large. Conor plays a key role in assisting the Director of Contracts and Grants with the facilitation and delivery of monthly IPEDS Educator Web Conferences.
With a nearly 30-year background in corporate communications and marketing, Lisa uses her strong writing skills and communications savvy to enhance AIR’s branding and communication strategy. She is responsible for writing email messages, as well as copy for web pages, print pieces, and social media. Lisa also coordinates the production of AIR's monthly electronic newsletter, e-AIR, and various print media.
AIR's graphic designer and media specialist, Ashley develops stunning graphics for webpages, reports, promotional materials, and other media for the Association. In addition, Ashley's work in storyboarding and illustration help further AIR's online educational presence. She has focused on promotion and communication for higher education and non-profit organizations for over 10 years and is passionate about championing educators and artists.
The consummate student, Laura helps develop educational resources for IR professionals, with a specific emphasis on online professional development training courses. Her main focus is on the creation of online professional development for the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) datasets and tools, and IR resources. She has a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology.
A Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Laura uses her event planning skills and creative artistry to mange and coordinate the largest event of the year, the AIR Forum. In this role, she serves as the point of contact for all presenters and sponsors, as well as coordinating vendors, hotel and venue selection, and logistics. Laura also plans and supports other AIR meetings and gatherings, including meeting planning and assisting in contract negotiaton.
Charlie, a certified public accountant and AIR's king of the calculator, leads the accounting staff and assists with all accounting functions including payables, receivables, monthly and year-end accounting procedures, and financial statements preparation. He assists with project-based budgeting, human resources, and other projects as needed.
Miguel has traveled all over the world with the US Navy, but now calls AIR home. He provides administrative support to the Executive Director and Board of Directors by scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, arranging travel, and more. Miguel handles a wide variety of tasks to support AIR staff and members, including maintaining the AIR Job Board.
As a youngster, Tiffany enjoyed taking things apart to see how they worked. Today, she provides strong IT support for AIR staff and maintains desktop, server, and network infrastructure equipment. She is always available to assist staff with installation, configuration, and usability testing of various software applications and IT hardware, and any other technical issues they encounter. Tiffany also assists in managing various IT projects, such as the Digital Pass.
