Job dutiesProvide data to support the college for data requirements related to student success, accreditation, state and federal compliance reporting, grants, special projects and monthly, mid and end of the year reporting. Perform statistical analysis on data sets. Perform queries of relational databases to address organizational data needs. Provide analysis and results summaries for LTC research projects. Responsible for consistency and validation of data across LTC.

Job Description
• Utilize Cognos reporting software and relational databases to develop operational and executive-level reports in order to fulfill data/report requests and inform decision-making.
• Design and develop front-end reports and dashboards utilizing all possible information delivery channels.
• Collaborate with WILM (Wisconsin Indianhead, Lakeshore, and Mid-State Technical College Consortium) BI programmers and internal stakeholders to assess research objectives and data needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain solutions aimed at addressing the data needs through actionable insights.
• Provide end-user training for LTC staff who utilize data solutions and troubleshoot problems related to reports and data.
• Analyze, evaluate, logically interpret, and summarize large complex data sets from various databases to provide timely, relevant, and accurate information to a broad range of college stakeholders.
• Direct the collection and analysis of data, report results to users, and utilize statistical techniques and software packages to prepare related planning and analytical documents.
• Implement frequent quality assurance checks and recommend corrections where necessary to continuously increase the accuracy and reliability of institutional data.
• Collaborate with appropriate staff to provide on-going support for data tools and systems; investigate and resolve problems involving these systems, address data integrity concerns, provide integration of business rules with information systems.
• Provide 5 Star Service throughout all customer interactions.
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (economics, business or information technology, social or information science) or equivalent with two to four years of recent related occupational experience required. Will consider an Associate’s degree in a related field. Programming background preferred.
• Course work in data mining, statistics and research methodology preferred.
• Experience working with quantitative information preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical thinking skills, computer technology skills and abilities, problem solving, detail-oriented, prioritizing, decision making, and follow through skills essential.
• Present and conduct self in a professional, ethical, and respectful manner.
• Ability to plan and set goals and follow-through to completion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to learn a variety of data mining and survey software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Condition of Employment
• Employment conditional on completion of a Background Information Disclosure (BID) and the results acceptable to the College.
Salary range$40,000 - $60,000
Salary benefitsEmployment Classification: Support Staff Non Exempt ~ Range starts at $24.19 per hour

Employment and Work Schedule: 38.75 hours per week x 52 weeks; Monday - Friday
Flexible day/evening/weekend hours based upon needs of the college
