Job dutiesThe primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership for all aspects of academic research to ensure continuous quality improvement, enhanced learning outcomes for students and to achieve college-wide strategic goals. The position supports College Leadership, faculty and staff by providing accessible, accurate and reliable data in support of informed decision-making that meets state, federal and accreditation needs, and other mandated reports in a timely manner. Position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data for both internal and external audiences. Additionally the person in this position is responsible for consultative and coordinative academic program management work.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree in education, computer science, mathematics, statistics, educational administration, business administration or other related discipline
• Two or more years of professional level work in institutional research or related
• Applied experience with complex research projects, data interpretation and data presentation tools and techniques.
• Experience with survey research methodology, analysis, and report writing
• Experience with database management systems
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy of information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills; commitment and ability to interact with diverse groups of students, faculty, staff, and college community

Preferred Qualifications:
• A master's degree in education, computer science, mathematics, educational administration, business administration or other research related discipline
• Two or more years’ institutional research experience or related in a higher education environment
• Experience with ISRS, EPM11 and other Minnesota State databases
• Experience using SPSS and/or SAS
• Familiarity with state and federal mandated reports and community college accountability report requirements
• Knowledge of AQIP and accreditation reports and processes
Salary range$40,000 - $60,000
Salary benefitsSALARY RANGE: $47,857 to $70,199 annualized
