Job dutiesThe Associate Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Quality Improvement will be responsible for academic programs’ and support units’ assessment planning and implementation, survey design and administration, student evaluation of faculty, and other reporting requirements related to institutional effectiveness. The candidate must have demonstrable skills and experience in supporting faculty and staff in their assessment efforts. The Associate Director will be responsible for coordinating learning outcomes assessment in various programs/units in order to demonstrate the extent to which student learning and development have been attained. Specific duties will include:

• Organizing academic programs assessment planning and implementation in collaboration with faculty, department chairs, program directors and College Assessment Committees.

• Leads the core curriculum assessment efforts by collaborating with the Core Curriculum Advisory Committee and the faculty teaching core curriculum courses in defining and measuring expected competencies.

• Collecting and analyzing data using both quantitative and qualitative techniques to inform continuous improvement of programs and services.

• Administering, managing, and designing university-wide surveys to support institutional effectiveness.

• Organizing assessment training workshops and presentations to enhance the capacity for strengthening a culture of evidence on campus.

• Providing support for conducting Student Evaluation of Faculty and analyzing the data to assist departments and deans in decision-making.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
A master’s degree in higher education, educational research, social sciences, or directly related field plus, at least, three years of experience in assessment is required. Qualified candidates will also have a good knowledge and experience in using SPSS/SAS software and Microsoft Office applications. The successful candidate must possess a keen attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various campus constituents. Strong written, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships across the University constituencies are important.

Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the required minimum educational qualification, prior experience with assessment data management and reporting software will be an advantage.
