Job dutiesThis position collects and analyzes data, evaluates reliability and sustainability of assessments, produces complex reports, and recommends additional analyses as necessary. The incumbent serves as project/team leader as assigned and manages designated projects. This position reports to the Associate Director of Institutional Research.

Essential Functions
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring Department.
1. Analyzes needs and develops and completes institutional research studies.
2. Prepares, interprets, and communicates complex statistical information.
3. Provides guidance and supervision of assignments for Data Analyst I and Data Analyst II.
4. Acts as a liaison to academic and non-academic departments and advises school leadership teams in the use of data related to student achievement and institutional effectiveness.

Examples of Work Performed
Conducts complex statistical analyses, such as logistic regression, using SAS, SPSS, R, or other statistical software to analyze a wide variety of data.
Analyzes needs and develops and completes institutional research studies.
Uses Excel, Access, and Tableau extensively to perform data transformations and other complex operations.
Prepares, interprets, and communicates complex statistical information in writing, verbally and graphically for diverse audiences.
Collects, analyzes, interfaces, and interprets multiple sources of data related to student achievement.
Provides guidance and supervision of assignments for Data Analyst I and Data Analyst II.
Acts as a liaison to academic and non-academic departments and advises school leadership teams in the use of data related to student achievement and institutional effectiveness.
Identifies and monitors key performance indicators for student and institutional achievement.
Determines academic gains and applies appropriate statistical precepts to gauge effectiveness of programs.
Conducts training programs for staff development and campus partners.
Assists with maintenance of departmental website and ensures accuracy of data content.
Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required.

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Management and Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. AND Experience: Four (4) years of experience related to the above described duties. Substitution Statement: Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved

Salary rangeDependent on qualifications and experience
Salary benefitsSalary Range: $51,457 - $66,030
