Job dutiesPerform research and analysis in support of institutional innovation and decision making.
Consult with internal college constituencies to determine and clarify data needs and research requirements.
Communicate technical information in oral, written, and graphic form to individuals with varying technical backgrounds.
Develop reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Respond to survey and data requests.
Coordinate the reporting of data to state and federal agencies and serves as IPEDS key holder.
Submit databases to Florida Department of Education.
Coordinate grants-related data submission and reporting to funding agencies.
Administer annual college wide surveys, analyze results, and prepare reports.
Serve as a liaison between the Information Technology (IT) department and the Office of Research, Planning, and Analysis.
Serve on various membership councils, committees, and project teams as appropriate.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, management information systems or related field required, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Strong statistical analysis skills required.
Strong communication skills, both written and oral required.
Demonstrated experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access required.
Experience using Cognos, Banner, and/or Blackboard Analytics preferred.
Demonstrated experience in major statistical packages such as SAS, SPSS or R preferred.
Demonstrated experience in SQL programming and using SQL to query and summarize data required.
Experience with relational database platforms and experience of building, cleaning and analyzing large datasets required.
General understanding of data warehousing preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a collaborative setting.
High level of self-motivation, ability to work independently, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Salary rangeDependent on qualifications and experience
Salary benefitsSalary Range: $49,500.00 - $63,750.00
