Welcome to the 2020 AIR Forum! As a first time attendee, we want to ensure you have a seamless and successful experience at the conference. As you plan for your first AIR Forum, be assured you are in good company—around 1/3 of attendees are first-timers. Here, we've put together the top five activities for first-timers to make the most of this year's AIR Forum in New Orleans.

Five Steps for a Successful First Time Experience at AIR Forum

1.

Don’t Miss the First Time @ Forum Session

Tuesday, May 26; 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m

Be sure to arrive early to join us Tuesday for this special session designed for you! Meet other newcomers and learn from volunteer leaders who will share tips about making the most of the conference experience; including networking tips, an insider’s guide to the Forum schedule, and insight on using the conference app to stay in-the-know, streamline your schedule, and make lasting connections.

2.

Join the Fun at the Welcome Reception

Tuesday, May 26; 4:45–6:45 p.m.

Connect with colleagues and sponsors and meet new friends at the Tuesday Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall. We will have fun décor, a bookfair, NOLA themed refreshments, games, activities, a photobooth, sponsor booth-crawl, and more—get your conference off to a rousing start at this must-attend event!

3.

Meet New Friends at Dinner Groups

Tuesday, May 26; 6:30 p.m.

Member-hosted dinner groups are a great way to wind down after an exciting day at AIR Forum and meet new friends and make lasting connections. These relaxed gatherings (at local restaurants) offer an opportunity to share the sessions you enjoyed most and to simply get to know others in the field from all over the globe. Dinner groups meet outside the Exhibit Hall. Groups can then walk together to pre-arranged locations. Dinner groups are optional, and attendees pay for their own meals at the restaurant.

4.

Get VIP Seating at AIR Forum’s Opening Breakfast and Keynote

Wednesday, May 27
7:30–8:30 a.m. Breakfast Buffet Seating
9–10 a.m. Opening Keynote

Your seat is reserved along with other first-time AIR Forum attendees for this buffet breakfast designed to get you ready for the day. Look for the specially marked tables, then sit back and enjoy the opening keynote by Rebecca Costa.

5.

Experience the Exhibit Hall and Networking Hub

Maximize your in-between-session times by visiting the Exhibit Hall, AIR’s networking hub. From poster sessions to sponsors showcasing the latest IR tools and services to breaks, activities, the photobooth and a place to sit and relax, the Exhibit Hall is the place to be. Stop by often, and experience all the activities and fun. Poster presentations, Ask-An-Expert and Micro-Sessions also take place in the Exhibit Hall.
