Prairie View A&M University and the Office of Institutional Research & Effectiveness invite applications for the position of Director, Institutional Research. Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Research, this position is responsible for the oversight and management of the daily operations for the Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness (IRE). The successful candidate will ensure that information is collected and official reports are produced to maintain compliance with federal, state, system and university requirements; and overseeing the ODS (Operational Data Store) used by IRE as a composite information system for the storage of archival data that is accessed by SQL extraction queries to provide reporting information; and developing technologically-driven enhancements for providing internal constituents with access to data and information for decision making, much of which is currently provided through the reporting tools of Tableau and Argos; and overseeing data visualization by making large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable; and managing activities of the department in regards to recruiting and selection, hiring and terminating, inventory control, purchasing, training, professional development, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
