Data/Research Analyst – Statistical Focus

Job Duties

The duties and responsibilities for the Data/Research Analyst include providing statistical analysis, survey design, and assessment support to the MSUB Community, particularly in support of institutional accreditation processes. This position will provide data support for institutional grants, especially the Title III grant.

Specifically, this position will: perform complex statistical analysis on data extracts to meet planning, analytical and reporting requirements; coordinates system management, user management, and data integration with the Office of Information Technology; assist MSUB Community in development of surveys following best practice survey design principles; implement institutional assessment projects which may include areas such as student engagement, and student satisfaction; collect, maintain and summarize, and present assessment information to institutional constituencies; and assist the Institutional Research Director with program level assessment support initiatives. This position is supervised by the Institutional Research Director.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social science, business, information science, computer science or related analytical field from an accredited university or college.
• Five (5) years of data analysis in a professional setting, with increasing responsibility for project management, independent decision making, and progressively more complex statistical analysis.
• Expert knowledge of statistical analysis tools and software (e.g. SPSSSAS, R, MS Excel).

The Data/Research Analyst – Statistical Focus position is a full-time year-round position within MSUB’s Office of Institutional Research.
