The School of Education (SoE) at Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking a specialist in data collection and reporting in our efforts to provide continuing evaluation of our programs and impact.
Metropolitan State University of Denver is an equal opportunity employer.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The School of Education (SoE) at Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking a specialist in data collection and reporting to fulfill our efforts to report to internal and external audiences and to provide continuing evaluation of our programs and their impact. This position is key in our efforts to provide mandated reports to state and federal agencies, as well as direct, monitor, and participate in data collection and analysis for evaluation and reporting of teacher preparation programs in the SoE. Duties include but are not limited to the following: A) conduct important inquiry about teacher preparation that can be answered with existing data; B) work with the Office of University Effectiveness and other university data/assessment offices to collect and interpret data on teacher preparation programs and performance of SoE graduates in their early years of teaching; C) work with the relevant state offices and PreK-12 schools and districts in collecting and analyzing data as it applies to MSU Denver teacher candidates and graduates; and D) complete state and federal reports for education and higher education.
1.Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution AND
2.Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting;
3.Any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Note: If using the equivalency to determine qualified applicant status, the standard used is one year of education is equal to two years of experience.
1.Experience with educational data management systems that are regularly used for reporting to external audiences and agencies in K-12 and higher education settings, such as Blackboard Outcomes, Tk20, LiveText, WaterMark, or similar.
2.Experience with data systems that are regularly used in K-12 and higher education settings for reporting for internal university/school purposes, such as Banner, Access, Qualtrics.
3.Experience working in PreK-12 settings.
4.Experience working in higher education settings.
5.Experience in efforts or initiatives focused on teacher preparation.
6.Experience creating reports to meet mandates by external agencies, such as federal and state requirements or national accreditation.
7.Demonstrated willingness to collaborate with faculty, school personnel, and others as a member of an interdisciplinary team. 8.Demonstrated ability to synthesize literature and collaboratively develop new questions.
9.Demonstrated skill in evaluating data.
10.Demonstrated skill in effective communication, both verbal and written.
11.Experience working with diverse populations.
