Job Duties

The Social/Clinic Research Specialist reports to the Director of Institutional Research (IR) and assumes responsibility for assignments that support data collection, analysis, reporting, and research functions in the Office of Institutional Research. The scope of the position extends from IR to the entire University community.

The overall duties of this position entail data collection, management, analysis, reporting and presentation of detailed qualitative and quantitative data that support the informed decision-making. Under this general job function, the position specifically is responsible for:
• Survey administration and assessment testing;
• Data analysis using appropriate statistical software and methodologies;
• Maintenance, integrity and visualization of institutional survey data & reporting;
• Manipulation and analysis of data using various programming tools such as R, SAS or SPSS;
• Use pre-written SQL queries to extract information from Banner and merge with survey/testing data for further analysis;
• Assist with running the weekly enrollment report, faculty teaching workload data and other ad hoc requests;
• Other office work as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
