Analyzes, designs, develops, and tests computer programs; prepares documentation; and provides technical information for other programmers. Reports data and statistics to internal constituencies and to various disciplinary accrediting agencies. Assists in the design and building of a data warehouse of IHL data and other reporting fields.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Analyzes, designs, develops, and tests computer programs in order to produce and provide applications to facilitate collection and manipulation of data.
Prepares documentation in order to provide information necessary for users to operate computer programs and data analytic platforms.
Provides technical information necessary for other programmers to modify and/or add to the application being developed.
Builds and maintains data warehouse. Contributes to the validation of data and performs follow-up corrections to ensure accurate data is being displayed in the data warehouse.
Responsible in assisting with reporting official data to the Board of Trustees for Institutions of Higher Learning for the State of Mississippi (IHL) and the Federal Government (Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System – IPEDS).
Support the Director of Institutional Research in handling requests for information and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree; Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
