This position reports to the Associate Director, Institutional Research and Planning and is responsible for completing senior-level analyses to inform decisions for all functional areas of the university regarding strategic planning, student success, and other institutional priorities. The incumbent will interface directly with the functional analysts within administrative and academic units to better understand their data/reporting needs. This position will be the lead analyst and subject matter expert for at least one area of official reporting. Other duties include, but are not limited to, identifying possible opportunities for UofL to maximize performance funding, developing efficient SAS programming and data extraction processes to respond to data requests, and creating data visualizations to inform strategic planning at the academic unit, department, and program levels. The incumbent should be proficient in Base SAS programming and SAS Visual Analytics.
The University of Louisville is a state-supported research university located in Kentucky's largest metropolitan area. It was a municipally supported public institution for many decades prior to joining the university system in 1970. The University has three campuses. The 287-acre Belknap Campus is three miles from downtown Louisville and houses eight of the university's 12 colleges and schools. The Health Sciences Center is situated in downtown Louisville's medical complex and houses the university's health-related programs and the University of Louisville Hospital. The 243-acre Shelby Campus is located in eastern Jefferson County.
