Job Duties
- Perform institutional research utilizing research methodologies in assessment, survey research, statistics, and data analysis. Prepare reports and communicate research results to college administration, faculty, and staff. Responsible for evaluating and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Prepare, collect, and interpret financial, student, faculty, course, and academic program information. Through the development and implementation of various data collection and analysis tools, this position will provide critical data such as program enrollment and course planning forecasts (includes the regular update of the IR webpages).
- Complete state and federally mandated reports, including Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data system (IPEDS),HLC Institutional Update, Colorado Department of Higher Education, and Colorado Community College System. This position is responsible for the management of the collection and storage of institutional data used in responding to college and program accreditation requirements.
- Serving as HLC Accreditation Liaison Officer ensuring operations and processes meet accreditation standards. Track, report, and maintain records of programmatic changes to HLC.
- Provide support to the VPAF in the development and implementation of the college strategic plan. Track college high-level strategic initiatives, across campus units. Maintain a well-coordinated and sophisticated scorecard related to the college’s strategic plan. Perform and design ad hoc analyses for institutional decision-making purposes.
- Author, publish, and analyze surveys for PCC stakeholders.
- Create and manage databases
- Learn new software as necessary and stay current with data analytic tools and development
- Flowchart key institutional processes
- Provide training and guidance to Department Chairs and Faculty to support the college’s Assessment of Student Learning efforts
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience conducting, analyzing, summarizing, and presenting complex or large sample research data.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct statistical analyses
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated skill working with a diverse population
- Ability to communicate clearly to multiple diverse groups to include administration, stakeholders, employees, and students.

Preferred qualifications, experience, special knowledge, skills and abilities
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or other field related to data research and analysis.
- Professional Certification in data analysis, analytics, or science
- Experience in higher education
- Experience conducting data collection and analysis in higher education related to student enrollment trends, student success factors, academic program success, etc.
- Experience in providing critical data and analysis in support of strategic planning
- Experience in assessment of student learning
- Experience working with program accreditation.
- Experience developing and administering survey tools and analyzing survey data.
- Experience working with financial data analysis and budgeting processes.
- Experience managing and submitting IPEDS and other national data reports.
- Experience with HLC accreditation.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting diversity data and supporting diversity initiatives.
- Experience working with branch campuses across various locations with different data needs and unique data sets.
- Experiencing leading project teams.
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience providing data for capital construction projects. Demonstrated ability to extract data from Banner and COGNOS
- Ability to create surveys using various software programs such as Survey Monkey and Qualtrics.
- Demonstrated skill using Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to quickly identify patterns and trends and communicate them in an easy to understand format.
Institution Description
Pueblo Community College (PCC) is governed by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education, which comprises 13 state system community colleges. The Colorado Department of Higher Education (CDHE) is the central policy and coordinating board for all public institutions of higher education and establishes policy on legislative, academic and fiscal matters.
