Job Duties
The Institutional Research Coordinator/ Analyst shall report to the Vice President for Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist and coordinate the collection and distribution of information for institutional planning and external agencies. Engages in related activities regarding the college's compliance with criteria established by appropriate state, regional, and/or national accreditation and licensing organizations.
- Utilize survey tools, computer software, and other instruments and media as appropriate for efficient and effective research design, quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, and reporting.
- Systematically review and evaluate data to ensure its accuracy, reliability, and suitability.
- Assists with departmental activities to ensure the college complies with all Higher Learning Commissions (HLC) accreditation standards.
- Works with faculty and administrative personnel to develop student and program learning outcomes and coordinate the development and implementation of appropriate assessment measures. Assists with departmental training sessions.
- Coordinates/produces data for internal research, assessment, and evaluation projects.
- May serve on campus committees as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
- Nothing contained herein shall limit the President in assigning the employee to any of the various college activities for which he/she would be qualified to meet the needs of New Mexico Junior College.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, business, social science, or related area.
At least two years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
Experience validating data.
Experience with statistical software, data visualization platforms, spreadsheets, and presentation applications to analyze, synthesize, and present data.
Training in research methods and data analysis.
Experience using text-based software applications.

Benefits
This is a twelve-month, non-exempt position. Standard benefits apply. The full pay range for this position is $22.55 to $32.85.
