ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR (INST)

Application Procedure:

Job Duties

This role is responsible for coordinating the assessment of student learning outcomes at UWM , ensuring continuous improvement in student learning and maintaining accreditation compliance. Collaborating with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL ) and other campus units, this position promotes a culture of assessment and continuous improvement by providing training and support to faculty and staff on effective assessment practices. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the collection, analysis, and reporting of assessment data to evaluate student learning outcomes and program effectiveness, focusing on academic programs, general education courses, and cocurricular programs within Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management units. The position also provides administrative support to inform institutional efforts related to accreditation and assessment. This role involves supervising a part-time Assessment Assistant, offering mentorship and ensuring they achieve their performance objectives. Work will be performed primarily on-site. Hybrid work options may be available with specifics regarding work location requirements discussed during the interview process.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least one year of experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders
• At least one year of experience collecting, managing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience assessing student learning outcomes
• At least one year of supervisory experience
• Work experience in higher education
