Job Duties
This is a part-time, virtual position during the Summer 2025 academic term. If selected, you will be expected to commit approximately 20 hours per week between approximately May and August 2025. The compensation for this position is $2,800. The start/end dates are negotiable depending on the institution calendar system (e.g., quarter v. semester) of the student intern.
Job Qualifications
Position Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a doctoral program for the duration of the internship is required.
- Demonstrated ability to write academic manuscripts is required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote) and statistical software such as SPSS, Stata, or R is required.
- Experience working as a research assistant in the field of higher education is strongly preferred.
- Must demonstrate a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to collaborate and comfortably engage with colleagues via virtual communication platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

About the Position:
The Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) seeks a doctoral student intern to conduct a range of research tasks including data cleaning, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. Under the supervision of the Senior Research Analyst, the research intern will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to review and synthesis of relevant literature, data cleaning and analysis, and contribute to the writing of manuscripts.
