Works with divisional units to develop data management approaches for student services metrics, developing and maintaining queries and reports from various data management systems; • Creates data visualization style reports using MicroStrategy and other reporting tools, developing reporting appropriate to differing audience types; • Provides training and coaching to division on best practices in data collection, management, and reporting; • Contributes to the development of assessments using qualitative and quantitative research methods; • Supports divisional strategic planning and annual reporting requirements, processes, and systems; • Serves as a liaison with key university offices such Business Intelligence, Registrar's office and the Office for Institutional Effectiveness and Planning; • Provides analysis of select data using appropriate systems, approaches, and methods (i.e. survey responses, demographic data, student/user analytics, etc.); • Meets with constituents to discuss assessment results when appropriate; • Oversees graduate student(s) on assigned and collaborative assessment, planning, and data analysis projects; • Provides essential support for one-time and on-going assessment projects, needs, and requests across the Division of University Life.
Master's degree in higher education, social sciences, computer science/analytics, business administration or related field or comparable work experience; • Strong data analysis skills (quantitative and qualitative) and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experience with statistical analysis software, such as SAS, SPSS, or R.; • Adept at report writing, as well as presenting findings to audiences of varying levels of understanding; • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; • Demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge and experience using SQL programming language with the ability to create SQL queries; • Experience with data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau; • Experience in survey and assessment reporting platforms (i.e., Qualtrics, Baseline, Tk20, Taskstream, Compliance Assist); • Demonstrated experience with assessment-related work in a university setting.
