  • Possess knowledge and stature to effectively attract and recruit strong AI faculty to establish research programs;
  • Be inspirational, collaborative and team-oriented and eager to partner internally and externally;
  • Be forward looking and visionary, with a track record of fostering and embracing innovation;
  • Have facility to create value propositions for AI projects;
  • Be a relationship builder who embraces the internal and external responsibilities of being head of a startup institution, with the ability and desire to ability to work effectively with industrial partners, donors, alumni and external VC groups in resource development and advancement.


  1. Education requirements

Candidates should:

Possess a PhD in a relevant discipline and have leadership experience in academic or a premier industrial R&D setting;

Candidates should:

Have a broad-based understanding of the AI applications industries and the ability to stay abreast of trends and market forces;
