The IT Business Intelligence/Data Analyst II will support the Office of Institutional Research in the following ways: Develop reports and provide statistical analysis (30%), Create data reports for campus decision-makers on key performance metrics such as enrollment, retention, graduation, finance, etc. (30%), Conduct predictive analytical analyses (20%), Conduct research on University data (20%).
Minimum: Masters Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field with one (1) or two (2) years experience in higher education OR Bachelor Degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science with three (3) to five (5) years experience in higher education OR The equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong statistical, analytical and programming skills (SAS preferred).
Preferred: Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in Institutional Research in higher education or similarly complex setting. Experience with and knowledge of SAS (preferred) or SQL programming. Demonstrated strong reporting and programming skills with emphasis on data interpretation. Demonstrated predictive analytical skills with success in presenting the data and analyses accurately and clearly in both verbal and written formats.
